Why I have joined Reform UK
After a great deal of careful thought, I have joined Reform UK. This wasn’t a decision I took lightly, but I did have good reasons for it. So, lets have a look at the current political parties.
The Conservative Party
The conservatives do say a lot that I agree with and several times they have had my vote. However, they talk the talk, but fail to walk the walk. They have had 14 years to implement the policies that most want, and have failed.
The Liberal Democrats
Well, if ever a party was mis named, it was this one. They should be called the unliberal, undemocratic party. This is the party that said you were too stupid to vote in the referendum , and took the line bollocks to Brexit.
In addition, they are led by a clown who made money from the post office scandal and let the postmaster down very badly.
The Greens
The Green Party used to be full of well-meaning people who were interested in “saving the planet”. Now, they are led by a Buffoon who tries to increase women’s breast size by hypnotism, wants to legalise all drugs and……. Well, enough is enough. How anyone could vote Green now is beyond me.
The Labour Party
The Labour Party are the party now in power, although their vote share was small. Since forming a government they have broken manifesto promises, consistently lied to us and I’ve lived through Labour before & knew they would be bad. I didn’t think they would be this bad, though. They seem to hate the British public.
So all in all, I am left with having very little choice. I am not under the illusion that Farage and Reform are perfect, but they could hardly do worse than any of the others.
What sort of man am I
I am retired and in my 70. I ran my own business for 40 years, sold it and moved into the Forest of Dean. Likewise, I spend most of my time now as a volunteer driver for Lydcare , and gardening. I have lived through many different governments, but never seen such a dreadful government as we have now.
